Lullaby

The tree is the most significant symbol in the text because it reminded Ayah of her children. One day at the rancher’s house they got a visit at the door from the doctors. These people wanted to take away the children from their mom. Eventually they ran away all together and their hiding place mwas over a hill under a tree as their hiding spot. Soon Ayah and her children went back to the ranch and the doctors came back with a policeman and they took the children away. After this tragic moment, Ayah went back to the top of the hill where Danny and Ella hid before. This spot because significant because it reminds Ayah of her children. The tree provided protection and shelter.
